Confirmed reports from media outlets say a mass shooting at the Fort Hood Army Base in Texas has caused an emergency lockdown, at least 7 have been murdered and over 20 have been wounded.

The shootings happened in the Soldier Readiness Center. And although the gunmen were said to be dressed in Army fatigues, it was not known whether or not they were actually soldiers.

There is reportedly one suspected shooter in custody and another on the loose, possibly a third.

The FBI reports that the shooting is not linked to terrorism. President Obama has been notified.

…if the attacks continue like this, “there will be no Christians left in Iraq.”

EDITOR’S NOTE: While Breaking Christian News’ main focus is the good news of the Kingdom and evidences of God’s hand in our world today; occasionally certain difficult and tragic events warrant sending out a prayer request. This is one of those circumstances, and we at BCN ask the Body of Christ to join with us in prayer for Believers in Iraq, and all of those touched by these horrific acts of terrorism. These are our brothers and sisters-in-Christ who are hurting. –Aimee Herd, BCN.
